Sensei Chet Dixon 6th Dan began his training in Eastern Martial Arts in 1981 - and in 1984 had the good fortune to meet, and begin training with, Sensei Wallace Platt. Through the professional presentation of the Martial Arts by Sensei Platt 10th Dan, Sensei Dixon has been able to participate in Martial Arts seminars, tournaments, and functions all over the world. For this he is grateful.

Sensei Dixon has participated in over 50 seminars with Sensei Richard Kim 9th Dan, as well as many other Martial Artists such as Sensei Higaonna, Sensei Demura, Sensei Warrener, Sensei Kameda, Sensei McColl, Sensei Peter Urban (the originator of all North American Styles of Goju Ryu),
Bill Wallace, Joe Lewis, Sensei Chuck Merriman, Professor Jacob, Sensei Copeland, and of course his Sensei - Sensei Wallace Platt.

Sensei Dixon opened his first full time professional Dojo in Pickering - Ontario in 1990. He has also taught for the cities of York, North York, Etobicoke, as well as Elementary schools, Secondary Schools, Sheridan College and Mohawk College.

Sensei Dixon has demonstrated and competed across the globe in countries such as the USA, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Costa Rica - including demonstrations at the Rogers Centre (Skydome) for the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Argonauts professional sporting teams. He has participated in the 'Masters of Self-Defense' demonstration presented at Massey Hall - Toronto, and appeared on local as well as National television and in three Martial Arts films. He has won two Canadian Championships, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze at the American Cup in Manzenillo Mexico 1998.  Sensei Dixon competed again at the American Cup in 1999, when he defended his Gold in Iaido, as well as earning a Gold in two man weapons, and a Bronze in open kata.  The 2000 American Cup saw Sensei Dixon achieve two Gold's and a Bronze for Canada.  He later participated in the Eastern Tour 2000, visiting Japan, Okinawa and Korea.  More recently, 2002 has seen Sensei Dixon devote most of his efforts toward opening the new Toronto Beaches CMAC Dojo.  2003 included training on the island of Cuba, as well as hosting his own tournaments in Toronto - Ontario - which he has since continued into 2004 and now 2005.  The month of August 2004 was marked by a
Culture exchange trip to China and Hong Kong, where Sensei Dixon trained in the historic Shaolin temples.   Sensei Dixon put on demonstrations while in China, in addition to climbing the legendary Mount Wudang and visiting the Great Wall of China.  Over this 24 day cultural exchange, Sensei Dixon visited a total of 18 different Chinese cities and spent time training and demonstrating in most of them.  January 2005 saw Sensei Dixon once again return to the American Cup where he took home Gold in Kata and Kumite, and Silver in Weapons - for Canada.

On top of Sensei Dixon's many global travels, he has devoted considerable efforts over the years toward teaching self defense courses locally - to Ontario Public Schools, High Schools, and the Girl Guides of Canada just to name a few organizations/institutions.
